The school would be held in the South Padre Island (SPI) Center on South Padre Island, a resort located on the Gulf of Mexico, twenty miles from downtown Brownsville, where UTB has facilities including classrooms and meeting rooms.
The SPI Center is recognized as the only historic building on South Padre Island. Built in 1923, it served as an active Coast Guard station until the 1970’s. |
